May is National Bike Month and Long Beach will be home to be more than a dozen public events, including the third Tour of Long Beach and BikeFest, the City’s annual Bike to Work Day festivities, and bike safety rodeos as part of the City’s goal to be the nation’s most bike friendly city.
“Thanks to state and federal grants, our investment in bicycle infrastructure has led to an increase in bike riding, people walking to work, bike-related businesses opening, and several businesses opening along our bike corridors to take advantage of the increased number of cyclists,” said Mayor Bob Foster.
